WoW Power Leveling Options

At some time or another, every player in World of Warcraft realizes that in order to really enjoy the game they are going to have to get to the higher levels. Power leveling your character is the best way to do this in the shortest amount of time, but there are lots of different ways to do it and not all of them are as efficient as they could be.Let me help you out with a few decisions you’ll need to make.

One method that has been very popular is to use an add-on that can be downloaded from the net and installed on your computer. Add-ons would run inside World of Warcraft and guide you through various quests and grinding situations to help you move through the levels faster. Of all the add-on guides out there Zygor is the only one I know of that Blizzard still allows people to use, and it’s the best one, anyway.

You might be tempted to get a profession and go for the training, but what you need to level up is experience. You can’t get the experience points you need to climb the level ladder when you are training a profession. Professions add a lot of dimension to WoW, but save it for later.

The Auction House can waste valuable time that should be spent power leveling.

Don’t get caught without enough food and water on your leveling quests. This can really be a problem if you’re trying to quickly move through a level and come up short. Different levels have different food and water requirements, so be prepared. Check your supplies before you set out so you don’t have to stop and restock.

There’s a great little option in the game called “auto looting”. Don’t forget to turn this option on. Without this feature, it’s also easy to miss some loot that the auto loot feature would have picked up for you.

Questing is by far the fastest way to power level. Get to know the right quests to do (some are time wasters) and move through them as fast as you can. Knowing which are the right quests to take on and what the right moves are in the quests is an important part of power leveling.

Getting xp, or experience points is what will move you up a level and questing has a much higher return than grinding. A lot of kills won’t get you near as much xp as finishing a quest. Go ahead and have a little fun grinding, but it gets boring and it will slow you down.

Going on a quest is more fun in the long run and being able to finish two or three at one time will catapult your xp, moving you to the next level very fast.

However you decide to power level your toon, you are going to need to buy a guide to get you moving in the right direction. There are some great ones out there, just be sure that Blizzard accepts them in-game.
